NOAA account of the Jarrall Tornado

I must be a walking tornado magnet or because I've lived in Texas all my life (born and raised). After the May 27, 2000 tornado in Fort Worth, I moved one month later to Austin, which isn't too far from Jarrel. I had to drive through Jarrel when I was moving to Austin, and the memory of the F-5 tornado was always there. I would see storm shelters where there wasn't one before and that served as a somber reminder of the tragedy that had happen.

If you have any information on the Native American legend about the "Dead Man Walking" (when you see the dead man in the tornado it's to late) please let me know so I can share it with others!!
